Verbally aggressive to garda

VERBAL aggression towards a garda led to John Cash from 32 Cluain Dara, Enniscorthy facing public order prosecution.

The District Court heard that the 43-year-old took offence when asked for his details as Garda Olive McNamara investigated an incident on the Ross Road in Enniscorthy on June 24 last year.

Solicitor Lana Doherty described her client as asthmatic and a father of three, adding that Cash had apologised since. He was convicted of threatening/abusive behaviour and fined a sum of €200, with four months allowed for payment.
