Blackstairs Mountain Theatre is delighted to announce that they will present John B Keane’s SIVE as their autumn Production 2018. A raw and riveting drama, Sive tells the tale of a beautiful young school girl forced into an arranged marriage with a rich and lecherous old man. Against the backdrop of 1950’s rural Ireland the play is colourfully populated with traveling tinker’s, bitter housewives and a scheming matchmaker. The production will take place with the kind permission of the Drama League of Ireland and open auditions are to be announced soon.
