A members’ meeting will take place on the first Tuesday of each month at the Riverside Hotel at 2.30 p.m. A sponsored walk will also take place today at 4 p.m. from Abbey Square, followed by a BBQ at the Astro Active Centre at 5 p.m.

A trip to Kilmore will take place on June 26, while a theatre trip to see ‘Wicked’ is also planned for July 25 and the association trip to Jersey will be on September 17.

Ongoing activities are as follows: Monday – Line dancing at 11 a.m. at Astro Active Centre; Indoor bowls at 1 p.m. at Astro Active Centre. Wednesday – Walk at 11 a.m. from Riverside Hotel; Pitch and Putt at 10.30 a.m. at St Patrick’s Pitch and Putt course on Wednesday and Friday; table quiz at 2.30 p.m. every second Wednesday at Loreto Village. Thursday – Ramblers’ walk at 9.30 a.m. from LIDL car park; Scrabble at 10 a.m. at Astro Active Centre. Among the upcoming events are a sponsored walk and barbecue on July 4, a trip to see ‘Wicked’ on Wednesday, July 25 and Gowran Races on July 28.
