Double show at Arts Centre

Two of Ireland’s finest songwriter­s and performers Luan Parle and Clive Barnes will present a double headline show in Wexford Arts Centre on Saturday, July 14, at 8.30 p.m.

Luan and Clive have gained an internatio­nal reputation as solo performers and for the past three years they have been playing together to sold-out audiences in Ireland, America and Europe.

Meteor and Tatler award winner Luan has had numerous hits and accolades. Her Top 10 hit single ‘Ghost’ spent three months in the Irish charts and was the most played single of that year.

Having signed her first record deal at the age of 12 years, the Wicklow native has written and recorded with some of the world’s most successful songwriter­s and producers including Grammy award winning Bill Bottrell and Billy Steinberg.

She signed with Elton John’s management company Twenty First Artists and opened for Elton for three nighty at the London Hammersmit­h Apollo.

Clive Barnes, a native of Enniscorth­y, is regarded as one of the finest performers on the roots music circuit. He had released four critically acclaimed albums of his own and has played and recorded with some of the finest musicians on the world stage including Joe Cocker, Taj Mahal and Eric Bibb and also shared stages with Dr. John, Jeff Beck, Solomon Burke, the Blind Boys of Alabama and Gary Clarke Junior.

Clive has played numerous US, UK and European tours and won various awards including Album of the Year for ‘Welcome to Farewell’ in the US magazine ‘Acoustic Guitar. He has a new album ‘Get Low’ released this year.

Clive will accompany Luan on stage for what promises to be a special night of music and an opportunit­y to see these two top musicians perform together.
