A NEW CHIEF superintendent has been appointed for County Wexford. Kevin McMenamin is to take up his duties at Wexford Garda Station next week, having transferred from Kevin Street Garda Station in Dublin.

The experienced garda was promoted to the rank of chief superintendent recently and takes over the role previously occupied by Wexford man John Roche, who retired in March. The role was occupied by Waterford chief superintendent Padraig Dunne in the interim.
