Eurotrip for Peggy with Gala win
ENNISCORTHY woman Peggy Owens is set to jet off for some sun, sea and sand after scooping €1,500 in holiday vouchers as part of a major giveaway at her local shop. Frayne’s Gala were taking part in a huge in-store giveaway to celebrate the Gala Group’s 20th year celebration.
The European Holiday Giveaway gave customers the opportunity to win a trip to a plethora of European destinations including Paris, Rome, Lisbon, Barcelona and Vienna.
Peggy was over the moon to have been chosen as the winner and she joined store owner Margaret Frayne and Gala Retail Operations Executive Lisa Kenny at the Enniscorthy store last week to collect her prize.
‘The European Holiday Giveaway was a huge success with our customers and Gala customers all over Ireland,’ Margaret said. ‘It generated a great buzz in stores and in local communities. We’re thrilled to have had a winner in our area and on behalf of the store, we’d like to wish Peggy an extremely happy holiday, courtesy of Gala Retail.’
This was the latet event in a year of celebrations to mark Gala’s 20 years in business and follows on from a huge social media competition which saw the group give away a brand new Toyota Aygo, as well as the Gala Gifts For Schools competition which saw over €20,000 in prize money go to Irish primary schools.
The second half of the year will see the continuation of Gala Gifts with a huge in store promotion that will include thousands of prizes for Gala customers.
Frayne’s Gala are encouraging their customers to keep an eye out in store for the next round of giveaways and, like Peggy, they could be picking up something very nice along with their groceries!
