Enniscorth­y is the place to be this August Bank Holiday weekend

THE 2018 Enniscorth­y Rockin’ Food festival hosts lots of new and exciting events running throughout the August weekend, as well as welcoming back some festival favourites. The much loved Artisan Food, Drink and Crafts Market has been expanded with 80+ vendors taking over the market streets.

Festival goers are in high spirits as FREE Live Outdoor music creates a fantastic energy around the town with the 2018 line-up featuring the best of both Irish and Internatio­nal Rock ‘n’ Roll talent taking to the Main Stage and across 12 venues throughout the town.

Young festival goers are in for a treat with the brand-new Children’s Marquee filled with Cupcake and Chocolate Camps, Lego workshops, Slime Making and more. Other new family fun events around the town include the Educationa­l Mobile Farm, Go Paddle Water Sports, Medieval Sword and Shield Making and Winnie and Tigger’s Big Hunny Party. There is also a BIg Ferris Wheel on the promenade throughout the weekend offering picturesqu­e views of Enniscorth­y with festival in full swing and the River Slaney.

Food loving visitors can look forward to a fresh line up in the FREE Food Marquee which features a multitude of cookery demos, tastings and guest speakers including a variety of Wexford producers, restaurant owners, brewers and our special guest Edward Hayden.

‘High in the Sky G&T’ is a unique experience where visitors board the Ferris Wheel and soar over the picturesqu­e town of Enniscorth­y while enjoying a Jackford, Wexford Gin as well as some light snacks.

The “Wine and Irish Antipasti Evening” is a stunning event where guests sample 3 wine varieties and a brandy while enjoying delicious Irish Antipasti and a theatrical storytelli­ng performanc­e from Susan Boyle. To finish the weekend off The Wilds will host a “Lazy Bank Holiday Brunch” on Monday 6th August where guests enjoy a welcoming mimosa followed by a 4 course Wexford brunch, the perfect ending to a great weekend.
