RNLI BENEFIT NIGHT
The 37th annual benefit night in aid of Rosslare Lifeboat Service will take place this Sunday, August 5, in Hammels Lounge Kilmuckridge. Music will be by John ‘Sport’ Murphy, Door prizes, raffle, auction, Tickets €5.
There will also be the annual Boat Pull from Kilmuckridge to Morriscastle at midday, with a bucket collection on the day. Rosslare Lifeboat will visit Morriscastle that afternoon.
The Kilmuckridge fundraisers would like to thank everyone for their kind generosity and sponsorship throughout the years, last year we raised €14,500.
JOAN AND FRIENDS
Joan and friends are having a coffee morning on Sunday, August 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Crosses, Kilmuckridge. Admission €3. Proceeds will go to ‘Touched By Suicide’.
FAMILY RESOURCE CENTRE
The charity summer sale will take place on Saturday, August 4, in the Cosher Centre, Kilmuckridge next door to Kate’s Café 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Little Acorns Afterschool is now taking bookings for the afterschool club which will operate till 5.30 p.m. Pick up from St Joseph’s Primary school at 1.40 p.m. and 2.40 p.m. by our childcare team. Contact 053 9130393.

FREE TRAINING
COTS is a WWETB (formerly Fás) training centre located in Kilmuckridge. We are offering the opportunity to complete a Level 5 in Retail Practice with additional training: Barista Skills, first Aid, Manual Handling, etc. This is a fulltime free course scheduled to commence in September 2018. Those in receipt of a social welfare payment will obtain a substantial training allowance. CHARITY BINGO
There is a Charity Bingo night in the Crosses Kilmuckridge every Thursday at 8.30 p.m. Next Bingo on Thursday, August 2, is for Kilmuckridge Family Resource Centre – jackpot €480. Free raffle.
TIDY TOWNS
Tidy Towns hold a weekly clean-up every Tuesday throughout the summer months meeting at Londis car park at 7 p.m. Judging will commence shortly for the annual SuperValu Tidy Towns competition. This annual event is organised by the Department of Rural and Community Development and is sponsored by SuperValu. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the competition.
Therefore we ask people to please help us by picking up any litter that they may find and placing it in the bins provided throughout the village. Volunteers needed especially during the busy summer months. All help gratefully received.
