PATRON/FIELD DAY

All roads lead to Kiltealy on Sunday next, August 5, for annual patron and field day. The patron will begin with prayers and blessing of graves in the churchyard cemetery at 1 p.m. followed by Mass in the New Cemetery at 1.30 p.m. Ballindagg­in Pipe Band will then lead the attendance to the field where there will be something for everyone.

Attraction­s include produce, cake and bottle stalls, wheelO-fortune, bingo, duck racing, fishing, roulette, sand bags, face painting, guess score of match, guess number of sweets in jar, skittles, parents/children’s race for medals. Tea and sandwiches tent, barbecue and ice cream van all on field.

Raffle tickets are now on sale at €2 each or book of three for €5. First prize weekend for two at Tullamore Court Hotel. Second prize €200 Wexford Chamber voucher. Third prize €100 voucher for Mr Oil and numerous other prizes, tickets will also be on sale on field.

Dancing on patron night in the Community Hall with Theresa and the Stars, entertainm­ent in village pubs in the evening. A great day out for all the family at the foot of the Blackstair­s Mountains.

KILTEALY CELTIC

Kiltealy Celtic Soccer Club held their AGM last week where the committee was elected for the coming year with some new members coming on board. All membership fees to be paid in full by August 20 the club is holding their first fundraiser of the year – The Legends V the New Boys on Saturday, August 11, 6 p.m. at the pitch in Kiltealy, anyone that played for Kiltealy Celtic part one is welcome to join in. €10 per player. It will be a great evening, all back to the Thatch afterwards for barbecue and session.

EUCHARISTI­C ADORATION

There will be no Eucharisti­c Adoration in Kiltealy Church for month of August. Adoration will resume on the first Monday of September.

DUFFRY ROVERS LOTTO

The numbers drawn last week were 1, 2, 29 and 32. No jackpot winner. Two players matched three and won €75 each: Marie Taylor c/o Andy Kehoe and Alison and Gregory Treacy, Leixlip. Seller’s prizes: Peter Ryan, Trish Rackard, camogie club and Bowe’s. The draw tonight Tuesday, July 31, is in the Holy Grail and the jackpot is now €3,000.

SPLIT THE POT

Winner of Kiltealy NS split-thepot last week was Ciara Banville, who won €142. Split-the-pot draw takes place in the Thatch every Monday night for the summer holiday period. Your support appreciate­d for school funds.
