ANNIVERSARY MASS

The first Anniversary Mass for the late Nancy Garvey, Knockgreany, Coolgreany will be celebrated in St David’s Church, Johnstown at 6.30 p.m. on this Saturday, August 11.

SYMPATHY

Deepest Sympathy is extended to the Finn family Newtown, Coolgreany, on the death of Ray’s mother Betty, whose burial took place on last Wednesday in St Gabriel’s Cemetery Arklow, after Funeral Mass in St’s Mary and Peter’s Church Arklow. RIP.

TIDY TOWNS

The keep Wexford Beautiful Competition is taking place over the next few weeks and the committee are asking people to keep the grass verges and footpaths litter-free, the village is looking well with all the seats, tables, flower pots and hanging baskets looking splendid. The Tidy Towns use the returns for the Flowers and Equipment.

The committee are appealing for as much help as possible in preparation for the future Adjudication of the village for the Tidy Towns Competition which is imminent.

VINTAGE CLUB

The Coolgreany first Vintage Day will be held in Coolgreany on Sunday, September 9, and plans for the day are advancing well so far. It is hoped to have a very big response on the day with vintage cars and tractors of all vintage years on exhibit. The plan is to have Auto Jumble stalls and Vintage Dress also.

Entertainment on the field will be provided by Stacey Breen with her lovely versions of old country and western music. All exhibits and Trade Stands must be on the field by midday, and all vehicles must have their own insurance. The committee are appealing to anyone who has an Interest in Vintage Cars or Tractors to Join our club, the membership fee is set at a very reasonable sum of €25, and everyone is welcome to join. Next Meeting on next Wednesday evening at 8.30 p.m.
