COMMUNITY DEVELOPMEN­T DRAW

Kiltealy Community Developmen­t are holding a fundraisin­g draw ‘Golden Ticket – first Goal Draw’. The all-Ireland hurling final is on Sunday, August 19, at Croke Park. The person who hold the ticket which matches the ‘second’ in which the first goal is scored wins the prize of €500. (judged on official time given by RTÉ).

If no goal is scored during the game all tickets will be entered into a lucky dip draw. All proceeds go towards Kiltealy Community Developmen­t. So get your ticket and be in with a chance. Tickets €2 each on sale now locally and from committee members.

STORY HOUSE

Ballindagg­in Story House Thursday night next August 9 at 8 p.m. Great music, song and story. Admission free, refreshmen­ts served. A great night out.

WALKING TRAILS

Kiltealy walking trails have passed inspection by Wexford Walking Trails and the inaugural walk of the Cullentrag­h route takes place on August 18, meeting point Kiltealy Community Hall at 10 a.m. Distance 7.5km, difficulty level – moderate (not suitable for buggies)., duration 1.5-2 hours. There will be a barbecue and refreshmen­ts in the community centre afterwards. This promises to be a delightful occasion for all hill walking enthusiast­s. All proceeds from bucket donations and barbecue will go to Kiltealy Developmen­t fund.

SCHOOL ROAD SIGNS

Wexford County Council have erected new road signs approachin­g Kiltealy National School which should slow down approachin­g traffic and help motorists be aware of the dangers outside the school especially at drop off and pick up times.

DUFFRY ROVERS LOTTO

The numbers drawn last week were 11, 20, 21 and 31. No jackpot winner. One player matched three and won €150: Mary Doyle snr, Ballybreen. Seller’s prizes: Jim Hanrahan, Martin O’Connor, Pat Armstrong and the Watchorn Family. The draw tonight Tuesday, August 7, is in Rackard’s, Caim and the jackpot is now €3,100.

SOCIAL DANCING

Social dancing in Rathanna Community Hall on Sunday night next August 12 with music by Images. Admission €8 which includes refreshmen­ts and raffle.
