The Youths’ team were away to Tombrack United in a pre-season friendly on Wednesday night last, August 29 and were beaten 0-2 after an under-par performanc­e.

Will Walsh and Niall Finn have been appointed as the management team charged with bringing league and hopefully, cup, success to the St Cormac’s ‘B’ team. Everyone in Boolavogue wishes them the very best of luck for the upcoming soccer season.

GAA LOTTO

The jackpot has been increased to €4,700 for the tonight’s draw in the Monageer-Boolavogue GAA lotto. The draw will take place in the club complex in Monageer at 9.30 p.m. If you haven’t already purchased a €2 ticket, they will be on sale in Monageer immediatel­y before the draw.

MINISTERS OF THE WORD

On Saturday, September 8, Éinín Rossiter is reading with Georgina Gahan assisting at Communion in St Cormac’s church. On Sunday the ninth., at the 11 a.m. Mass, the Minister for the Word is Marie Barne while Dorothy Hall is Minister for the Eucharist.

GOLF CLASSIC

Please do not forget the golf classic on Saturday the eighth., organised by the parents’ associatio­n of Boolavogue National School in Ballymoney Golf Club. The cost for a team of four is €100.

There will be prizes for the longest drive, for nearest the pin and first., second and third placings. The prizes will be presented at a function in the Harrow on the night where there will also be a raffle for numerous prizes.
