Work space will be launched before industry seminars

-

A new enterprise space will be officially opened in Gorey today dedicated to business and employment services.

It’s located in the foyer of Gorey library and civic centre and has been in operation for the last couple of months as part of the national Work Matters at the Library Service initiative.

The official launch will take place at 4 p.m. and immediately afterwards there will be public seminars in Gorey and Wexford libraries at which Mintel Ireland will focus attention on ‘Events Tourism in Ireland’.

The seminar in Gorey library will take place at 4.30 p.m. while the Wexford town event will begin at 7.30 p.m.

Mintel Ireland is a company that conducts consumer and market research initiatives in addition to tracking product innovation in the areas of finance, lifestyle, leisure, retail, food and drink.

The focus will be on the Work Matters scheme and the talks will highlight aspects of ‘Events Tourism in Ireland’ - which is one of the most rapidly expanding business sectors in the country and one which industry experts predict will experience yearon-year growth.

During the talks report expert, Emma McGeown, will look at the most popular types of events Irish consumers attend.

She will be joined by Mintel Ireland Director, Ciara Rafferty, who will be available for one-to-one consultations after the events.

To book a free place at either event contact Gorey Library on 053-9421481 or Wexford Library on 053-9196760.
