LADIES’ CLUB

The ladies’ club meet on the second Wednesday of every month. The next meeting is October 10 Meeting in Clonee GAA Complex from 8 p.m. Each month they try new things, listen to someone speaking about items of interest or giving demos, try an activity, make something new, go on outings or just come along for refreshments and a chat. New members are most welcome.

COMMUNITY ALERT

The AGM of the Ballyduff Community Alert will be held on Thursday, October 18, at 8 p.m. in the Clonee GAA Complex. Sergeant Brendan Moore – Crime Prevention Officer for Co Wexford has kindly agreed to give a talk on Crime Prevention on the night. With winter fast approaching I am sure this will be a very worthwhile talk with plenty of tips to be highlighted.

It is also renewal night for the Community Text Alert Initiative with money being collected at the AGM the cost will be €10 per phone for people already on the system who are renewing their phones and $20 for people joining for the first time. This initiative has worked very well in our community since 2013 with a notable decrease in criminal activity. We would ask you to come out and give this initiative your support and renew your membership for something that is making a difference in our area. We look forward to seeing you all on Thursday the 18th.
