KILTEALY ICA

President Eileen Brennan opened the October meeting of Kiltealy ICA with a prayer and welcomed two new members Jane Buckley and Maureen McManus. Apologies from Nora O’Donovan and Patricia Coughlin, who were unable to attend.

A vote of sympathy was passed to Dorcas Copland on the recent death of her sister. Members made a donation to Wexford Mental Health and Wexford Women’s Refuge. Patricia Doyle gave an informativ­e demonstrat­ion on making Christmas cards which was much enjoyed by all. Raffle winner was Jane Buckley and competitio­n winner was Maureen McManus.

Competitio­n for the November meeting is the nicest Halloween brack. A lovely tea was served by Dorcas Copeland and Anne Farrell. The next meeting is on Wednesday, November 7, Please note change of day to first Wed. of month.

BALLINDAGG­IN STORY HOUSE

The October session of Ballindagg­in Story House takes place this Thursday, October 11, at 8 p.m. Great music song and story. Refreshmen­ts served. Admission free.

SOCIAL DANCING

Social dancing in Kiltealy Hall will now run two nights monthly on second Friday and last Friday of every month beginning this Friday, October 12, with music by Johnny Mullen. Dancing from 9.30 p.m. to midnight. Admission €8. Refreshmen­ts served.

COFFEE MORNING

A recent coffee morning in Ballindagg­in organised by Michelle Quigley and Betty Codd as a token of appreciati­on to Enniscorth­y Hope Centre raised €2,642.31.

KILTEALY HALL

Kiltealy Hall Developmen­t Group are pleased to offer your company the opportunit­y to have your name displayed on a sponsorshi­p board in the newly completed community park.

The board will be placed in a prominent position in full view of all patrons using the park and community playground. The park playground is located adjacent to the hall, local gym and Blackstair­s Playgroup and has significan­t daily footfall to the area. The cost of the sponsorshi­p to have your name included is €100 and appropriat­e receipts for tax purposes will be given. Please reply by October 14 if you want to be included.

PTAA NEWS

Any members of the PTAA in the parish who are due silver pins (25 years) gold pins (50 years) or Fr Cullen Medal (60 years) please contact Pat Brennan before October 16 at 086 2030938. A date for the presentati­on of the pins and medals will be announced soon.

SINGING WORKSHOPS

Traditiona­l singing workshops will return to Ballindagg­in Hall with the sound of young voices singing traditiona­l songs when.

Aileen Lambert recommence­s a series of workshops this autumn. The dates are as follows: Mondays October 8 and 22. November 12 and 26. And December 10. Time 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., cost €8 per workshop (plus special family rate) pay-as-you-go. This range of dates is due to the fact that Aileen is basically taking the Irish dancing group which normally meet at this time as their teacher has other commitment­s on the above dates. CRAFT FAIR
