Workshop proves very costly

A MAN who attempted to set up a crash repairs business in the grounds of his home landed a bill for more than €5,000 on conviction for a planning offence.

Shane Cummins, Gibberwell, Duncormick admitted that he had done wrong in setting up the unauthoris­ed workshop but assured Wexford District Court that everything is now in order.

He was fined €3,500 and ordered to pay costs of €697 to Wexford County Council along with expenses of €860.
