Host of top country stars for weekend at Clayton Whites
COUNTRY music fans will be in seventh heaven as some of Ireland’s top stars come to Wexford town next month for a three-day event at Clayton Whites Hotel.
Declan Nerney and Michael English will be among the performers taking the stage at the ‘Major Weekend of Country Music’ over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, November 16, 17 and 18.
There will be a double-bill each night with acts including Kildare star English and his band, Sligo’s Patrick Feeney and his band, pride of Longford Nerney with his band, Waterford’s Paddy O’Brien and his band, and Stephen Smyth and Liam Kelly, both with their own bands.
Dances start each night at 9.30 p.m., with doors opening an hour earlier.
The top-notch weekend programme also includes a dance on Saturday afternoon from 3 to 5 p.m. with Tony, Teresa and the Stars, and at the same time on Sunday afternoon with John Hogan and his band.
Tickets will be available on the door for all dances, with admission €20 (night) and just €10 (afternoon).
