RED CARPET ROLLED OUT AT ENNISCORTHY VOCATIONAL COLLEGE
PROSPECTIVE students had the chance to take what could be a glimpse into their future as they walked the halls of Enniscorthy Vocational College during the school’s open night.
The school was a hive of activity as parents and guardians, along with interested fifth and sixth class students took a walk around the wonderful facilities there and were welcomed by staff and students.
Each prospective student was given the opportunity to engage with subject teachers and ask as many questions as they liked, as well as getting to grips with some of the state of the art facilities and seeing the wide range of subjects that the school has to offer, ensuring all student needs are catered for.
Musicians of some renown, the school’s orchestra kept everyone entertained over the course of the night and showed the wonderful path open to those with an interest in music. In his address, Principal Dr Iain Wickham highlighted the ‘inclusive and caring nature of the school’, the ‘committed and dedicated staff ’ and the ‘strong emphasis on ensuring that high quality teaching and learning takes place on a daily basis’.
The school’s brand new promotional video was also show on the night, showcasing both the traditional curriculum and the wide array of extra-curricular activities that take place in the school, as well as the viewpoints of current and former students.
This video can be seen at www.evc.ie. Dr Wickham thanked everyone who came along and stated that applications are still being taken for the 2019/2020 academic year.
