Bunclody/Kilmyshall Drama teeing off with new comedy at golf club

-

THE stage is set for an uproariously funny comedy being staged by Bunclody/Kilmyshal Drama Group at Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club from November 12 to 16. ‘Women on the Verge of HRT’ will be the first production by the group to be staged at the Golf Club and they are hopeful it will make for a successful start and generate plenty of laughs.

Director by Tommy Murphy with Mary Gibson, the stellar cast includes Bunclody regulars Sinéad O’Gorman and Margaret Farrell as well as newcomer John Donoghue. Written by renowned Belfast writer Marie Jones, the play tells the story of best friends Anna and Vera, both of whom are on the wrong-ish side of forty. They share a mutual love for singing sensation Daniel O’Donnell and during a trip to Donegal to see their idol, they confront the realities of their lives: loveless marriages, faithless husbands and the prospect that life is rapidly passing them by.

Assisted by plenty of vodka and then whisked away to an Irish cliff-top by a hunky waiter, will they see their futures in the stars? The play looks set to be a real hit with Bunclody audiences and tickets are now on sale by calling 0872269737. The show kicks off at 8 p.m. nightly.
