BUNCLODY KILMYSHALL DRAMA GROUP MOVING TO THE GOLF CLUB

Bunclody-Kilmyshall Drama Group will present the comedy ‘Women on the Verge of HRT’ as their end-of-year show. This is another first for the group as it will be staged in the comfortabl­e setting of Bunclody Golf and Fishing Club. The play is directed by Tommy Murphy with Mary Gibson, and the cast includes Bunclody regulars Sinéad O’Gorman and Margaret Farrell and newcomer John Donoghue. The play is a comedy by the renowned Belfast writer Marie Jones. Best friends Anna and Vera are both on the wrong-ish side of forty. They share a love for singing sensation Daniel O’Donnell. During a trip to Donegal to see their idol they confront the realities of their lives: loveless marriages, faithless husbands and the prospect that life is rapidly passing them by. Audiences will love the humorous take on middle-age and relationsh­ips, and the two women work through their issues with the help of their waiter and some vodka with hilarious results. Bunclody Christmas Lights Committee will hold two trolley Raffles in November to help offset the costs of Christmas Lighting in Bunclody. The first will take place on November16­th and 17th in Eurospar, Bunclody and the second in SuperValu on November 23 and 24.
