PAULINE’S SOCIETY

-

The splendid Macreddin golf course was the venue for our October outing. With a fine turn-out of members and welcome visitors, it proved to be a serious challenge for all concerned.

Once again that young man Colin Fenlon led the field to take first place, followed closely behind by rising star Paddy Delaney, with Mick Butler slotting into third place.

Three nearest to the pin prizes were up for grabs and were won by Mick Butler, Dave Feeney and visitor Nicky Murphy. The visitors’ prize was won by Tom O’Connor. Well done to all concerned.

Mountain View golf course will host our next outing on November 10, with the first tee-off at 9.30 a.m. Those intending to play should note that they should be in attendance at the course by at least 9 a.m. to facilitate the draw, and ensure the smooth running of the order of play.

The usual arrangements regarding names being put on the sheet in Pauline’s Bar will apply, and should be posted by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7. Once again visitors and intending members will be welcome.

Subscriptions that are overdue should also be paid to the Honorary Treasurer on the day, to ensure that funds will be in place to finance the Christmas prizes. We are looking forward to seeing as many players as possible signing up for this outing.
