BEREAVEMENT

The sympathy of the community is extended to Stasia Finn and to the Finn and Hartley families on the death of her brother Tom Hartley (Ballinclare, Glenmore), on October 19. Solas na bhFlaitheas dá anam.

THE LATE TOM NEVILLE

Tom Neville, who passed to his eternal reward on October 19, was held in high esteem by the people of our parish and will be fondly remembered for his managerial input into Oulart-The Ballagh’s first win in the Wexford senior hurling championship in 1994 and in the following year and again in 1997.

The Fethard-on-sea native, who was resident in Carlow when he began his involvement with Oulart-The Ballagh, brought his intelligence and experience, together with his unrivalled skill as a player and man-manager, to the job of guiding the men in red and black to championship glory.

He is mourned by his devoted wife Annie and daughter Mary, his sisters Stais and Kathleen, extended family and a wide circle of friends. He was buried in Clonaslee, Co. Laois on Monday the 22nd after funeral Mass in Carlow Cathedral. Solas na bhFlaitheas dá anam dílis. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
