No it’s not, 2015 or 2016, or ever 2017, but in fact 2018 and the FAI Cup Final in the Aviva Stadium, sees Dundalk and Cork City meet for their fourth consecutive cup final.

Cork City lead the way with two wins in 2016 and 2017, with Dundalk having lifted the cup in 2015 to complete a league and cup double.

Cork did likewise last season, while denying Dundalk a double-double in 2016.

Dundalk have already captured the league title this season so the double is on the line once again for one of the two sides who have dominated domestic football in recent seasons.

Dundalk will be hoping Pat Hoban is passed fit to play.
