CRAANFORD DRAMA GROUP

‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ by Sam Cree, presented by Craanford Drama Group will be staged in Craanford Community Centre on November 21, 22, 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. nightly. Admission €10 for adults and €5 for children. Booking on the door, so arrive early to avoid disappoint­ment.

‘Don’t Tell the Wife’ is set in the Willis household in Belfast. Edna Willis suspects her husband Bobbie, who just happens to be about to turn 50 of having an affair. Acting on the advice of her good friend she decides to take in a lodger. Problems arise for Edna when the Lodger she takes in is a French female student. Coupled with that she also happens to be a Catholic. The play turns into a real belly laugh when Edna takes the next step and hires a male escort to make her husband jealous. As events unfold, a few more colourful characters and a greyhound called Bridget enter the mix to leave the audiences rolling in their seats with laughter.

The cast includes Maria McCann, Margaret Nolan, Pat Berney, Ger Doran, Paula Darcy, Séamus Burnell, Patrick Lennon and Hannah Doyle and is directed by Brendan Doyle. The play.
