A Christmas craft fair/bazaar will be held in Ballycanew National School on Sunday, December 9, from three 5 p.m. Tea or coffee and mince pies. Craft stalls. There will be activities for the children to do. The Ballycanew Parents Assocaition would love you to come and join them in an evening of festive fun for all the family.

Ballycanew Lights Committee will be putting up the Christmas lights on Saturday, November 17, and Saturday, November 24. Could all motorists drive with care please. Anyone wishing to help on those days are more than welcome.

FIRST RESPONDERS
Ballycanew Community First Responders would like to invite you to the first of our friends and family courses on November 27 at 7 p.m. in ballycanew church of Ireland hall. Ballygarrett PUB QUIZZES

The annual Christmas Market takes place on Sunday, November 25, in Ballygarrett Parish Hall from 9.30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Places are available at €10 and there is usually a great selection of Christmas wares available from upcycled furniture, hand knits, home baking, handmade cards, sweet treats, home grown vegtables, holly wreaths, flower arrangements to name but a few. Kilmuckridge CHRISTMAS MARKET
Coláiste an Átha’s annual Christmas Market will take place on Friday, November 30, from six – 8 p.m. This event will be hosted by the TY and LCA students. The students will be selling their own enterprise projects on the night. Coláiste an Átha looks forward to welcoming the local community to our school Gym to browse an array of stalls and games. Get into the festive spir- it and enjoy our choir, start your Christmas early and pick from crafts, gifts, confectionery and jewellery sold by our students and local vendors. DRAMA FESTIVAL
The all-Ireland One Act Drama finals will run from Friday, December 7, to Sunday, December 9, inclusive, in the KMH the Drama Festival committee are very proud to be hosting such an event and the audiences and groups alike will benefit from its greatly enhanced, warm and comfortable facilities with improved theatre specifications.
ENVIRONMENT AWARDS
Many congratulations to Kilmuckridge Tidy Towns, who scooped first place for their project ‘Songs of Kilmuckridge and Beyond’ – under the category ‘Best Heritage Preservation and Conservation Project’. They were also placed joint second in the category ‘Best Community Man- agement Initiative’ for their beach project. The environment awards Keep Wexford Beautiful were hosted by Wexford County Council and they celebrate 16 years of this glittering ceremony.
The ceremony was held in the Ferrycarrig Hotel Wexford, and it brings together individuals, community groups and schools who have all contributed to protecting and preserving Wexford’s environment. Protecting one’s environment has become a huge collective responsibility one that can only be achieved if everyone gets involved.
Mr Tom Enright chief executive Wexford Co Co addressed the large crowd and spoke of his pride to be part of an evening that recognises and rewards all those involved in helping Wexford County Council achieve their objective of keeping Wexford beautiful. The master of ceremonies for the evening was Alan McGuire and in attendance were members of Wexford County Council and local councillors.

SOCIAL WALKING/ RUNNING GROUP
An open social walking/running group has commenced in Kilmuckridge. Meets will take place at 8.30 p.m. each Monday to Friday evening starting at St Joseph’s NS for anyone who wishes to take part. Anyone interested can join the informational What’s App Group by contacting Yvonne O’Sullivan at 087 9555282 or otherwise simply turn up any evening that suits and join in.
At least two members of the group will definitely be out each of the nights except for nights where a Red Warning has been issued for the area. This is a casual group set up to encourage people to get out and about with others in the community for some gentle exercise at a pace that suits each individual. Looking forward to meeting any new joiners.
