SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY

Ballindagg­in senior citizens party will be on Sunday next, December 9, at 1 p.m. in the Community Hall. The organisers invite you to arrive at the hall at 12.30 p.m. Please come to meet and greet friends old and new and enjoy delicious food and great entertainm­ent in a party atmosphere.

DUFFRY ROVERS AGM

Duffry Rovers GAA club will hold their AGM in Kiltealy Community Hall on Friday next, December 7, at 7.30 p.m. All present members are asked to attend. New members welcome. Following the AGM the club will hold their annual five card poker game in the Holy grail at 9.30 p.m. (December 7). Tickets €20 which includes food and refreshmen­ts. Admission taken on the door on the night. Prize fund €1,000.

WEXFORD PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE

‘Wexford People Helping People’ are a group in Wexford helping people who have met hard times, you may have heard their interviews on South East Radio. A group of 200 are being invited to spend Christmas Day together at St Joseph’s Community Centre (Whiterock North, Wexford). The day will be free of charge as food and set up is being donated by the community and businesses. Contact Sinéad Griffin in confidence at 087 8213794.

A few people in Kiltealy Ballindagg­in are doing a food collection. The items will be distribute­d all over the county for people in need, not just large towns. We are looking for tins, packets, jars, sauces, soups, pasta, rice, tea, coffee, dried food items with long shelf life. Also hygiene products, toiletries, nappies, baby wipes, fire lighters, coal, firewood etc., minerals, sweets, biscuits. Children’s new socks and underware. We are not collecting clothes or money.

Drop off points Ballindagg­in Hall Friday, December 7, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday, December 10, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday the 12th 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Kiltealy Hall Friday, December 7, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday the 10th from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday the 12th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Kiltealy parish office at back of parochial house Monday to Friday 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. If anyone has an hour to help with collection times contact 087 6836199.

SOCIAL DANCING

Social dancing continues in Kiltealy Community Hall on Friday, December 14, music on the night will be by Teddy and Cathal Barry. Dancing 9.30 to midnight, admission €8.
