-

AN Enniscorthy based cement contractor has taken delivery of a new state-of-the-art mixer truck.

Matthew Fortune, from Glenbrien, is Roadstone contractors who is a long established and well known owner-driver.

He got his New Year off to a very promising and positive start with the new Mercedez-Benz 3246 Arocs 8x4 lorry.

Likely to become a very familiar site on Wexford roads over the coming months the new truck will be put to the test delivering ready-mix concrete for Roadstone Ltd.

The truck is finished in the company’s distinctive orange colours.

There is another Wexford connection to the development as well because the truck was supplied by Camolin based Mercedez-Benz commercial dealership, Somers Commercials Ltd.

The Arocs is fitted with a mixer body from Midland Truck Mixer Parts and features a fully automatic gearbox, air conditioning and cruise control.

On the safety front the high cab and elevated driving position is designed to ensure the driver has all-round visibility.

The Arocs range has gained a reputation for being a loadable truck that delivers power, robustness and efficiency in equal measure.
