SENIOR CITIZENS PARTY

The annual party took place on Sunday, January 13, in the Monageer Tavern. Despite the Penny Bank closing down some months ago, the committee had some resources in the bank arising from interest on Penny Bank lodgements in recent years. Hence they were able to fund this Party at a cost. About 60 guests sat down to a lovely lunch. Music was provided by an accomplised musician from Marshalstown and an enjoyable afternoon of music and dancing was had by all. Spot prizes were plentiful and enjoyed by the winners.

We thank Séamus and Mary Canavan, proprietors of the Tavern, for making their premises abailable and for the excellant food provided, and Anne Fenlon, Ballymurtagh and her committee, who arranged the Party.
