So heading into our sixth week now and without a shadow of doubt I’m seeing the benefits of all our training and our nutritional plan.

Had a bad start to the week Sunday night when I burnt my leg with boiling water from a hot water bottle. I took Monday as a rest day and had an appointment with Crouch & Kirwan physiotherapist (Bryan & Julie) to try out the normatec recovery boots. I couldn’t use the boots on my legs so Julie suggested keeping the appointment and had the air compression on my arm and shoulders instead.

I went for a swim after that and then Pilates which I’m still really enjoying with Jane Kennedy in Wexford Pilaties Studio.

Wednesday I did a 5k in the GAA pitch in Ferns and Thursday I did cross training on the rowing machine at home. Friday was rest day and Saturday I went to Nolan’s Gym and Sunday I did my 50 mins cross training swimming in the Waterfront Pool.

Wasn’t a great week for run- ning but will be back on track this week as my leg is healing well.
