CLOUGHBAWN GAA LOTTO

The most recent lotto drawn on February 2 was not won, numbers drawn were 8, 25, 26 and 27. There was two match-three winners, Seán Hendrick, Tominearly and MJ and Claire Frayne c/o Seán Greene. Next draw February 16 in the Cloch Ban with the Red team on duty, A & J Kehoe, L Kavanagh, K Doyle A Murphy and J Scott.

SPLIT-THE-POT

The latest winner from splitthe-pot was Matthew O’Neill Jnr, Adamstown. The pot was €258, Remember all funds are used locally and envelopes can be bought in any of the local shops and businesses.

ST PATRICK’S WEEKEND RUN/WALK

Galbally Sports and Leisure Club will host a 10k run and 5k walk on bank holiday Monday, March 18. The event will begin at 11 a.m., with registrati­on taking place from 10 a.m. onwards. Entry fee is €5 for the 5k walk and €10 for the 10k run. Both events are open to all ages and abilities. The 10k race will be chip timed and there will be prizes for the first man and woman home. Refreshmen­ts will be served to all participan­ts in the hall afterwards. Everyone is invited to come along and get involved in what promises to be a great community event.

COMMUNITY GAMES

Chess and Draughts has resumed in Galbally Hall on Wednesday nights from 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. All children from eight years to 15 years are welcome. Cost is €2 per child to a maximum of €4 per family.

The County Community Games will begin shortly. The local area will be represente­d in quiz, Talent, art, Swimming, Athletics, Chess, Draughts and tag rugby. If anyone is interested in any other event on the National Events Guide, please contact local Sec Clare Doyle at 087 4151350.
