Three club members took part in the Slaney Valley adventure race in Bree on Saturday. First man home for the club was Ben Hill in a time of 1:30:15, followed by Michael Jordan (1:35:11) and Ger Murphy (2:01:17).

Two club members took part in the Rock of Hell in Gorey on Saturday, Noel Kelly and Gosia Malgorzata-Szymura.

Five club members took part in the Johnstown Parkrun on Saturday. First man home for the club and third overall was Will Doyle in a time of 18:19, and first lady home for the club was Annis Kehoe in a time of 28:27.

Other results: Andy Staff 27:23, Michelle Doyle 40:42, Andrew Kehoe 44:06.

Well done everyone. The Novice road race takes place on Sunday, February 24, hosted by United Striders.

An award for representi­ng her country and setting a new national record went to Anne Gilshinan.

This is just a sample of the talent in Slaney Olympic, and there are loads more age category medals that were also received at the awards night. Well done everyone on an absolutely super year for the club.
