Workshop on benefits of remote working is a big success in Go rey

-

THERE was a very successful Smart Business workshop held at the Hatch Lab in Gorey last Friday.

The Small Firms Association is currently hosting a number of ‘Smart Business’ regional workshops in partnership with Vodafone Ireland and Abodoo.com.

Last Friday’s workshop was the second in the series and saw a large number of people in attendance.

The ‘Smart Business’ workshop explores smart working, how technology can enable remote working practices and enhance employee engagement.

Sven Spollen-Behrens, SFA Director said: ‘It was great to see so many Wexford businesses joining us to see remote working in action in The Hatch Lab shared office space. Small businesses discovered how technology enables remote and flexible working practices.

‘ The ‘Smart Business’ workshop highlighted the benefits of smart working and address the fears and concerns that small businesses may have.’

Those attending the workshop gained valuable insights into: the benefits of smart working and why small firms should avail of it; how technology can empower employees to work anywhere at any time through connectivity and security; and how to increase sales and profits by ensuring that every employee is a profit centre and loves what they do.

Other regional workshops will take place in Drogheda, Galway, Cork and Limerick before the end of April coinciding with an industry report from Vodafone. For more information log onto www.ibec.ie.
