BALLINDAGGIN DEVELOPMENT
Ballindaggin Development Group will hold their AGM in Ballindaggin Hall on Friday night next February 22 at 8 p.m. This is an open meeting and everyone is welcome to attend and give their input into the development of the village.
At this meeting the group will look back at the year gone by and look forward to this coming year. Last year saw the completion of the village Community Park, an extension to the church car park, Road works on the main road through the village and repairs to the stone wall by the church will be completed this week. Anyone with ideas or projects in mind or who would like to see some other work done in the village this coming year are very welcome to this open meeting on Friday night.
BALLINDAGGIN STORY HOUSE
A very entertaining night was enjoyed at Ballindaggin Story House on Thursday last (Valentines). Because of the night that was in it romance was in the air and the roof was raised with songs, interesting recitations and tales too to suit the occasion with roses and chocolates for prizes on the night. A lovely tea was enjoyed by all. One of the recitations was by Susie White, who wrote and recited her own composition on the closing of Kiltealy post office.
Prayerful good wishes to Michael O’Neill, who is recovering from surgery and to all who are unwell at present. Sympathy was extended to Ann and Murt Dreelan on the death of Margaret Dreelan, to Séamie Dunne on the death of his aunt, to Mick Rice on the death of his aunt, also to Christina Sinnott on the passing of her brother Pat Cowman and to Jim Mythen on the passing of his brother.
Door Prizes were won by May and Peter Dagg, Monart and Jack Hanrahan, Mohurry. Raffle winners were Biddy Sinnott, Caim; Anne Quigley, Boolabeg two prizes. 300 MEMBERS DRAW
Kiltealy Hall Development Group 300 Members Draw will commence on Saturday, March 16, with €5,000 in prizemoney – five prizes of €100 each week for 10 weeks plus an extra prize of €100 for paid up members to be drawn on the first night. Membership tickets €50 or €5 per week for 10 weeks. Draw will take place in Kiltealy Hall every Saturday night after Mass. For membership please contact any committee member.

A reminder the next clothes collection at Kiltealy NS will be on March 13, lots of time to go through your wardrobe and presses for unwanted items. No pillows or duvets please.
