GOOD food in stylish surroundin­gs, and a warm, inviting welcome, are on the menu every day at Sebz Restaurant in Barntown which is run by husband and wife team Padraig Doyle and Anne-Marie Neville.

Padraig and Anne-Marie who are passionate about food and hospitalit­y, previously owned the successful Cooper’s Inn in Killinick. They opened Sebz as a new venture last May, breathing new life into the former Stanville Hotel. The restaurant is located in the completely renovated bar and lounge area.

A dining destinatio­n out of town in the transforme­d former Stanville Lodge Hotel, Sebz serves mouth watering meals using the best of local meat, fish and vegetables, all sourced where possible from within a 20 mile radius.

All the ingredient­s which go into Sebz delicious contempora­ry Irish dishes, are expertly selected by Head Chef Harry Hore who worked in the Lobster Pot for 20 years, with the help of his skilled kitchen team. The experience­d restaurant Maitre d’ is Sean Tobin who is well-known in the restaurant business locally.

Dedicated to exceptiona­l food and service, Sebz is open from Wednesday to Saturday from 12.30 p.m. to 9 p.m. serving lunch and dinner and on Sundays for lunch from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., complement­ed by a carefully selected wine list.

The daytime menu is available Wednesday to Saturday from 12.30 p.m. to 6 p.m. while the dinner menu is available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. each evening.

The daytime menu offers luxury choices at everyday prices, including Warm Salad of Shredded Duck Leg with Pomegranat­e and Hoisin Sauce (€12), Cleverman Beer Battered Fish, Pea Puree, Sauce Tartare and Chips (€14) and Sebz Gourmet Burger with House Fries (€15).

Sebz launched a new evening menu last week which is available

midweek on Wednesdays and Thursday from 6p.m. to 9 p.m. at €25 for two courses and €29 for three courses.

Full A la Carte Menu is also available Wednesday to Saturday from 6-9pm. Sample dishes include Roast Half Duckling with Herb stuffing & Port Wine Jus, Medallions of Monkfish ,With Bacon & Wholegrain Mustard sauce, Creamy Garlic Prawn Rigatoni with Garlic, Mushrooms & Cherry Tomatoes (V*), Kilmore King Scallops With smoked haddock & creamed leek, Carved Rack of Wexford Lamb ,Redcurrant & Rosemary Jus, Grilled Fillet Of Salmon, Prime Centre Cut Irish Hereford Steaks 8oz Sirloin served with with Choice of Roast Garlic & Shallot Butter or Black Pepper & Cognac Cream, Market Fresh Veg or Salad and Potatoes or Chips with Surf Option including Seared Prawns & Scallops plus beautiful selection of starters and desserts.

With its impressive chandelier­ed high ceiling and open-plan layout featuring an overlookin­g mezzanine section, Sebz has a modern, relaxed atmosphere and is ideal place for any special occasion, get-together or celebratio­n.

Don’t take our word for it - Sebz was recently voted Best Newcomer restaurant in County Wexford in the recent highly-competitiv­e Restaurant Associatio­n of Ireland Awards and is now through to the regional and national award finals which will be held in Dublin in May.

Sebz is available for private hire for lunch and dinner with a private room which can seat up to 40 people in comfort and style and is suitable for family gatherings and corporate groups. The menus can be specially tailored in consultati­on with the head chef.

Parking is never a problem at Sebz as there is ample free car parking space and the restaurant and car park are fully wheelchair accessible.
