Top awards for quality-conscious local companies

-

TWO Wexford companies have achieved a quality mark signifying that they meet the highest standards of service and trust.

Gorey’s Coatek Window Tinting and Clonard’s Summit Scaffolding were awarded the coveted All-Ireland Business All-Star accreditation in a ceremony at Croke Park.

All-Star accreditation is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria.

Darragh O’Brien of Wexford data privacy consultants, Castlebridge was also honoured on the day with an All-Ireland Business Foundation Thought Leader award in Information, Data Privacy and Governance.

The accreditation and awards are overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

Dr Hynes said the accreditation, which is now held by 300 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.

‘We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors,’ she said.‘We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics.’

All-Ireland Business Foundation is responsible for overseeing the All-Ireland Business Summit which will be held at Croke Park on Thursday, May 2 on the theme of Scaling for Success, with Keith Barry and other guests invited to speak to over 1,000 delegates.

Keith will reveal how to unleash subconscious potential, exceed business expectations and communicate ideas at the largest annual cross-sector gathering of indigenous companies.

The speakers will also include global performance psychology expert Jamil Qureshi who was the first official psychological performance coach for the European Ryder Cup Team.
