Councillor Barbara-Anne Murphy’s Election Campaign will be launched by TD Dara Calleary, Deputy Leader Fianna Fáil on Thursday, April 11, at 8 p.m. in River’s Edge, Bunclody. There will be music and finder food. All are welcome to come along and enjoy the evening.
MODEL COUNTY DEVELOPMENT DRAW
Be on the look-out for Half-Way-House \ Bunclody GAA Club members who are out selling tickets for the annual Model County Development Draw. Tickets are €50 for three draws or €20, €20 and €10. The first draw takes place on Wednesday, May 1, Top prize each month is a car. This is an important part of the club’s annual fundraising drive and your support will be appreciated.

The National Ploughing championships take place this year at Ballintrane, Fenagh, County Carlow – near the Fighting Cocks from September 17 to September 19. More than 250,000 people will visit for the National Ploughing Championships. While local hotels, self-catering premises and B&B’s will cater for many visitors, there is a definite requirement for additional accommodation in the County Carlow area and surroundings. ART EXHIBITION
There will be an Art Exhibition in the Shaw Room, Carlow Central Library from Monday, April 8, to Friday, April 12, from 10.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. daily. Local Artists (Service Users) attending Social Farming placements in Co. Carlow, have produced an interpretative visual display of Artwork depicting, an Ancient Mass Pathway, Stone Styles and Green fields along its route.
This exhibition of work announces the existence of a Mass pathway located at Kilcoole, Rathoe, Co. Carlow and links ancient settlement sites in neighbouring Kellistown and Graiguealug. This project and the works produced have been funded by Creative Ireland: Art Council. Please feel free to pop along in passing the beautiful works on display.
