Newbay to show off €2.8m refurb at wedding event

-

THE historic Newbay House is to roll out the red carpet to the public on Sunday, April 28, as the owners unveil their new €2.8 million refurbishment at their massive wedding showcase.

The event will get underway from 1 p.m. on the day and brides and grooms to be, as well as the general public, will be invited to take a look around the fantastically refurbished house and gardens.

The purchase of the iconic venue by Wexford’s Talbot Hotel Group and its subsequent re-opening has seen the creation of a total of 20 new jobs, with plans for a further twenty within the next two years.

Newbay House comes with a very colourful past that dates back as far as the 17th century and is steeped in Wexford history.

The building and grounds, in their current form, were first built during the 1820s and, despite various tweaks and changes over the course of nearly two centuries, it has maintained its historic charm.

‘After months and months of planning, designing, restoration and refining, we are extremely excited to finally unveil the stunning new-look Newbay House to the public,’ said Robert Millar, Area General Manager of Newbay House.

‘While the launch spells good news for wedding couples, the property’s restoration means a great deal to the Wexford community, with the creation of 20 new jobs.’

Appearing at the official re-opening will be beauty blogger Suzanne Jackson and a number of wedding suppliers will be exhibiting on the day. Guests will also be treated to a gourmet afternoon tea, exclusive supplier discounts and a deluxe goodie bag.

‘ The upcoming Wedding Extravaganza will be an incredibly exclusive event, thanks to the addition of special guests such as Suzanne Jackson and Susan Ryan,’ said Wedding & Events Manager Rebecca Millar. ‘We feel it is a fitting way to unveil such a grand and luxurious wedding venue. The house, the grounds and the overall atmosphere and setting is really something that needs to be seen and experienced to be believed, so we would encourage any future brides and grooms in search of a unique, unforgettable wedding venue to buy tickets today to avoid disappointment!’

Tickets are in limited supply and are priced at €65 per person, which includes a gourmet afternoon tea and goodie bag. To purchase tickets, email Rebecca or Jenny at events@ newbayhouse.ie. For further information, visit www.newbayhouse.ie.
