LATE EDDIE (EDWARD) O’CONNOR

Widespread regret was occasioned by the passing of Eddie (Edward) O’Connor, Duffry Hall, Kiltealy which occurred on Sunday, March 31, Deepest sympathy is extended to his wife Breda, to his daughters Karen, Orla, Deirdre and Emma, to his sons Daragh and John Paul, also to his grand daughters, his sister Ann and brothers Ollie, Donal, Barty, Noel and James and extended family and friends.

Eddie, as he was fondly known to all, was age 69 years. He was a true gentleman and an esteemed member of a well known and very popular family. He was especially well known in farming circles having worked the family farm at Duffry Hall all his life.

Eddie was a keen sportsman and a member of Duffry Rovers GAA club since its formation in 1961. He played at all levels and lined out with the 1969 and 1978 intermediate county hurling champions.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend and his passing will leave a void hard to be filled. There was a large and representative attendance at his funeral Mass in Kiltealy Church on Wednesday last after which interment took place in Kiltealy Cemetery. May he rest in peace.
