U17 CHAMPIONSHIP WIN
The under-17 hurlers got their championship campaign off to a great start with a thrilling one point win over Shelmaliers on Wednesday the third. They lead convincingly at the break in a game played in bitterly cold conditions and despite coming under severe pressure in the second half, never surrendered their lead and held out to win by the smallest possible margin. Well done to both teams on serving up a feast of hurling in very trying conditions and congratulations to the mentors, Stephen Doyle, Martin Dempsey, Ben O’Connor and Linda Dunne on the great preparation of the team.
LEINSTER CHAMPIONS.
