ATHLETIC CLUB AGM

Ardattin Athletic Club’s AGM will take place on Tuesday, April 16, at 8.30 p.m. in Ardattin Hall. All members invited to attend. A short meeting of Slaney Valley Community Games will take place immediatel­y after.

TROLLEY RAFFLE

The parents’ council and Clonegal NS would like to thank the volunteers that helped with the Trolley Raffle recently which raised €1,180. Congratula­tions to Nancy Brennan, who won €150. The remainder of the money will be used for playground game markings.

GAA LOTTO

There was no winner of the Kildavin-Clonegal GAA lotto held on Sunday, March 31. Numbers drawn were 08, 15, 16 and 20. There were no match-three winners. Winners of quick picks were, Emma and Frances Whelan, Clonegal, Noel Conway, Kildavin and Eugene Murphy, Kildavin, all receiving €50 each. Seller’s prize goes to Osborne’s Clonegal, receiving €50. The next draw will take place in Dunne’s Lounge, Clonegal on Sunday, April 14, at 10.30 p.m., with a jackpot worth €8,600. Tickets €2 each.

NATIONAL SPRING CLEAN

Clonegal Tidy Village Associatio­n is taking part in the National Spring Clean 2019. The Spring Clean in Clonegal will take place on Saturday, April 13, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please come along and take part in the clean-up. Meet at St Brigid’s Hall at 11 a.m. Any help very much appreciate­d.

‘THE MONDAY CLUB’

Come and join us and brighten up your Monday mornings 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St Mary’s Day Centre, Ryland Road, Bunclody. On Monday, April 15, ‘Charity Work in Moldova’ With Maureen Byrne. Monday, April 29, Dancing With Declan Flannigan. New members are welcome. This Club would suit 60+ age group. Entrance Fee, €4 includes tea and light lunch.

Betty Cumiskey, Wexford Flower and Garden Club returns to Bunclody Library for a wonderful Easter Floral demonstrat­ion. Betty has won many awards and will show us how to add and enhance our Easter floral displays. All displays will be raffled off at the end of the event.

Thursday, April 25, from, 7 p.m.: Patthana garden through the seasons gardening talk with TJ Maher. T.J Maher will take you on a visual journey as he guides you through the seasons at Patthana Garden. ‘Situated in Kiltegan village, Patthana is one of the best small secret gardens in the country. It is the garden of an artist, the painter T.J Maher, and it shows.’. The 100 Best Gardens in Ireland by Shirley Lanigan.

Bunclody Day Care Services Ltd is holding Bring and Buy Sale along with a coffee morning on Holy Thursday, April 18, from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in St Mary’s Day Centre, Ryland Road. Raffle and coffee morning, cake and home produce stall, crafts, knitting, crochet and jewellery, bags, belts and books.
