LOURDES INVALID DRAW

Thanks to all who supported the recent Lourdes Invalid Draw held in Castledock­rell. Your support was greatly appreciate­d. The draw is in Ferrycarri­g Hotel on Sunday, April 14.

CLOTHING COLLECTION

Marshalsto­wn Parents Committee’s next clothing collection at Marshalsto­wn NS will be on Wednesday, April 10, at 10 a.m. All proceeds go to the school. No pillows, duvets or towels.

CASTLEDOCK­RELL NS

We look forward to celebratin­g ‘Friendship Week’ within the school from Monday, eighth to Friday, April 12. With our multi-grade class groups all children in the school mix and play together. This week allows us to celebrate the importance of friendship.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Holy Communions in the parish are on Saturday, May 4, in St Joseph’s Church, Marshalsto­wn and on Sunday, May 12, in the Church of All Saints, Castledock­rell.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family of the Late Anne Jordan and the family of the Late Mary Nolan. May they rest in peace.

STORYTELLI­NG

Next session of storytelli­ng in Castledock­rell Hall is on Wednesday, April 17 (due to Holy Thursday ceremonies on our usual day) at 8 p.m. Refreshmen­ts served. Raffle held on the night. Come along and bring a friend.

MASS TIMES

Weekend Masses in the parish are as follows Saturday in Marshalsto­wn at 7.30 p.m. and Sunday in Castledock­rell at 10 a.m. Please note also that baptisms in both Marshalsto­wn and Castledock­rell are on Saturdays only.

APRIL SOCIAL

Our April Social in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre takes place on Easter Sunday night, April 21, and will be run in aid of the Charity Hope. Music will be provided by Bernie Heaney and Boz. Doors open 9.30 p.m. Dancing starts at 10 p.m. Admission for this night only is €10 including tea. All profits go to Hope. Please note there will be no Friday night dance in April as our usual date is Good Friday.

BINGO

Bingo continues every Thursday evening in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre starting at 8.30 p.m. with three big jackpots to play for....

PATRONS

The annual patron and blessing of graves is in Marshalsto­wn on Sunday, May 26, and in Castledock­rell on Friday, July 5. More details nearer the dates.

VTOS CENTRE COURSES

Bunclody VTOS Centre, Ryland Road, Bunclody is recruiting for QQI Level 4 and Level 3 courses. Courses are free and are available to anyone unemployed aged 21 or over and on a social welfare payment. Please contact bunclodyvt­os@wwetb.ie or 086 3837645 or call into the centre.
