Time to hop to it and get gardening

-

HAVE you been looking out at your garden forlornly, willing it to look better?

The winter months offer the perfect excuse to put the gardening on the long finger. But enough is enough a;ready. It’s the middle of April, spring has well and truly sprung and there are weeds that need pulling, flowers that need dead-heading and water features that need installing.

The winter weather is no excuse anymore so the time is ripe to get to grips with your garden.

You don’t have to be a green fingered knowall to make small improvements – just go to your local garden centre who will provide you with knowledge and tips that will bring pops of colour to your garden and make it less a jungle and more a thing of natural beauty.

With a fantastic array of plants and bulbs to choose from, your local garden centre is your one-stop-shop for all your gardening needs.

Needless to say there is a grand stretch in the evening to be pottering around, getting jobs done in the garden and on your house, including painting, treating the decking and power-washing the soffit, gutters and eaves.

Soil conditions are ideal for planting, but it’s also great time of year to put some shape on that mass of growth that is your garden.

You can pick up all the utensils you need, from garden gloves to shovels and power-washers, and even a tin of paint for the fences and gates if they are also in need of a colour boost – all at your local garden centre.

The garden is a place where everyone loves to spend time being out among the sights, sounds and smells of nature. With the summer fast approaching there is much to look forward to, especially if we get weather like we had last summer. So to have your garden looking just right pay a visit to a local garden centre and stock up on seeds, bulbs, plants and whatever it is you need. You will see the benefits in no time and it won’t cost you much.

With a little effort you’ll be looking out at a garden to be proud of in no time and let’s face it one less thing to be worrying about as we enter the brightest, warmest and best time out of the year to be outdoors in Ireland, enjoying barbecues and the company of family and friends in our own homes.
