Billy Browne Cup semi-finals

Wexford Bohs and All Blacks will go head to head in the Billy Browne Cup final after they came through their semi-finals on Sunday.

Wexford Bohs saw off Ferns United 4-2 at Ajax Athletic’s grounds with goals from Luke O’Neill, Alan Flood, Eddie Pitman and Stuart Hayden, with Dickie Redmond and Kieran Kehoe hitting the back of the net for Ferns.

All Blacks narrowly came out on top in their clash with Kiltealy Celtic, winning 2-1 at the Bogside in Castlebridge.

A superb Adam Devereux freekick and a fine individual effort from Cormac Bates gave the eventual winners a 2-0 advantage before the break, and although Kiltealy pulled a goal back through Jamie Roban they couldn’t force the equaliser.

Gwyn Jones Cup semi-finals

St. Joseph’s ‘B’ and Rosslare Port ‘B’ will meet in the Gwyn Jones Cup final after seeing off Enniscorthy United ‘B’ and Wexford Bohs ‘C’ respectively in their final four encounters.

A late Callum O’Reilly penalty earned Joey’s a 1-0 win over United, while Port ran out 2-0 winners against Bohs, with goals from Shane Murray and Pierce Doyle.

Division 3A

Ajax Athletic are one win away from being crowned Division 3A champions after overcoming Bridge Rovers 4-2 in Castlebridge on Sunday. Adam Fox, Ross Wilson and Liam Moore (two) scored for the Enniscorthy outfit.

Bridge Rovers came out on the right side of a 4-2 scoreline in midweek as they saw off Oylegate United.

Division 4

Rosbercon United moved level with Courtown Hibs at the top of Division 4 without having to kick a ball as they were handed a walkover from Gorey Celtic.

Division4 A

Cloughbawn are just one point from the Division 4A title having overwhelmed Castledockrell United 8-0 last Wednesday evening.

Stephen Kennedy bagged a hat-trick for the champions-elect, with Adam O’Connor and Tom Connors both adding doubles and Tommy Cogley chipping in with a goal.

Cloughbawn face St. Joseph’s next Sunday, but they could be celebrating even sooner, should Enniscorthy United fail to take maximum points against local rivals Enniscorthy Town tonight (Tuesday).

St. Joseph’s moved into second place with a 4-0 win over St. Leonards on Monday of last week, with Seán Furlong (two), Pa O’Brien and Brendan McCreary getting their goals.
