Bates bags a late winner for Kilmore United

Youth Cup quarter-finals

Jude Bates was the match winner for Kilmore United as they edged out Campile United in their Stanno Youth Cup quarter-final on Saturday.

Bates pounced for the only goal of the game with two minutes remaining to send his side into the final four.

Meanwhile, Moyne Rangers chalked up a comprehens­ive 5-0 win over Wexford Celtic, with Cian Hanley helping himself to a hattrick and Seán Breen and Marcus McCarthy adding a goal apiece for the Enniscorth­y side.

Youths Premier Division

North End United dropped points in the Youths Premier Division for the first time this season when they were beaten 3-2 by Gorey Rangers on Saturday.

The Sky Blues had made it seven wins from seven in midweek when overcoming New Ross Celtic 4-0.

Youths Division 1

Cloughbawn and Bridge Rovers are deadlocked at the top of Youths Division 1 after their played out a 3-3 draw on Saturday.

Dylan O’Neill (penalty), Owen Furlong and Daire Rochford got the goals for Cloughbawn.

They had picked up three points on Monday of last week when goals from Eanna Doyle and Aidan Denton saw them edge out St. Cormac’s 2-1.

Meanwhile, Wexford Celtic and Rosslare Rangers drew 1-1 on Thursday evening.

Youths Division 2

Wexford Bohs are strong favourites for the Youths Division 2 title and two comfortabl­e wins in the past week copper-fastened that position.

On Monday of last week they ran out 8-0 winners over Glynn Barntown, with Jordan Donovan netting a hat-trick, Shane O’Connor bagging a double, and Cathal Dowd, Gary Hall-Roche and Dylan O’Connor adding a goal apiece.

An Adam Casey hat-trick helped Enniscorth­y United to a 6-2 win over Camolin Celtic, with Oumair Rauf, Ewan Kennedy and Keane Byrne also getting in on the act.

Shamrock Rovers saw off St. Joseph’s 3-0 with goals from Aaron Wallace (two) and Josh Mythen.

Youths Division 3

Darragh Furlong scored the only goal of the game as Fastnet Rovers made it eleven wins from eleven when edging out St. Joseph’s. The Rathangan side face Shelburne United, who are three points behind in second, in their final game.

Elsewhere, Adamstown ran out 7-0 winners over Bree United, with Chris Mahon and Kyle Barnwell both netting doubles and Pavel Jaglarz, Leon Sinnott and Stevie Dwyer adding a goal apiece.
