HOLY WEEK CEREMONIES

The following are the times for Holy Week ceremonies in Kiltealy and Ballindagg­in Churches.

Holy Thursday: Kiltealy 7 p.m. Ballindagg­in 8 p.m. Good Friday Kiltealy 3 p.m. Ballindagg­in 7 p.m.

Holy Saturday Kiltealy 7 p.m. Ballindagg­in 9 p.m. Easter Sunday Kiltealy 9 a.m. Ballindagg­in 11.30 a.m.

DUFFRY ROVERS TABLE QUIZ

Duffry Rovers annual table quiz will be held in Ballindagg­in Community Hall on Good Friday night, April 19, at 9.30 p.m.

One hundred general knowledge questions. Teams of four €20. Tea and refreshmen­ts served. All proceeds go to Duffry Rovers underage section. All support welcome.

STORY HOUSE

There was brilliant entertainm­ent at Ballindagg­in Story House on Thursday night last where the music raised the roof with top class selections, the singing and variety of songs were simply beautiful and the stories were both sad and hilarious – some laughed till they cried.

Peter Hughes was complement­ed on reaching no.1 in the charts on two consecutiv­e weeks with his newly recorded song ‘Keep on the Sunnyside’. Peter is donating the proceeds of the sales to the Hope Cancer Support Centre. Michael Jordan director of the Hope Centre was present to express his appreciati­on of Peter’s generous gesture and he went on to outline the function of the centre and thanked everyone who donates to the Hope Centre.

As secretary of Ballindagg­in Hall committee Michael also thanked everyone who supports the Story House raffle the proceeds of which goes to the upkeep of Ballindagg­in Community Hall. In turn Michael was congratula­ted on the great success of the Hope and Dream run under his direction. Ballindagg­in Pipe Band were congratula­ted on being judged the best band at St Patrick’s Day parade in Enniscorth­y.

Sympathy was extended to Leslie Dunne, Bree and to all who were recently bereaved. Prayerful good wishes were extended to all who are unwell at present.

The winner of Kiltealy NS splitthe-pot last week were Caoimhe and Saoirse Hanrahan, who won €1,128. Play split-the-pot every week, envelopes are available in local shops and pubs. Thank you for your continued support of our school.
