Ballyfad NS parents’ associatio­n would like to thank everybody so much in making Sunday, April 7, possible for our Tractor and Car Run.

All the parents, vintage clubs, neighbours, car and tractor enthusiast­s from far and near your support was much appreciate­d. We were blessed with the weather and a great day was had by all.

GAA NOTES

Underage fixtures for all codes are now in full swing. Great to see so many being part of our parish teams.

Special mention to the under-13 boys’ football team who easily overcame Duffrey Rovers in their first official fixture.

But Team of the week goes to the girls under-14 footballer­s who put out two teams against Glynn-Barntown and won the Division 1 game 6-6 to 4-7. While the Division 4 team drew with them. That’s 40 girls playing on the same night. The under-14 camogie team deserve special mention having reached the Wexford Féile final in Ferns. Many of the girls involved in both competitio­ns.

The adult hurlers will have played R1 in their championsh­ip last weekend. R2 has the first team in Gorey on Saturday the 20th v Shelmalier­s at 3.30 p.m. The second team are in Clongeen on Sunday the 21st at 11.30 a.m.

There was no jackpot winner in the lotto draw. There were five match-three winners. The numbers were 4, 5, 12 and 13. Next draw is in Noel’s on Tuesday the 23rd. The jackpot is now €7,000.

Morning Mass Kilanerin on Monday and Tuesday 9.30 a.m. Ballyfad Wednesday 9.30 a.m. Confession­s available after Masses on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Holy Thursday Ballyfad 7.30 p.m. followed by an hour of adoration at the Altar of Repose. Good Friday Passion service Kilanerin 3 p.m. and Stations of the Cross Ballyfad at 7.30 p.m. Holy Saturday Easter Vigil Kilanerin 9 p.m. Easter Sunday Ballyfad 9 a.m. followed by Easter Egg Hunt and Kilanerin 11 a.m. (Do this in memory Mass) followed by Easter Egg Hunt.

TIDY TOWNS

Kilanerin Tidy towns is now in full swing now that Spring is here. Clean up each Saturday morning. Meet at the Shamrock Hall parking area work for the time that suits your schedule. All tools, gloves and Hi-Vis vests provided.

KILANERIN ICA

Kilanerin ICA Kilanerin spring outing will take place on Wednesday the 24th going to the Gaiety Theatre to see Light a penny candle cost is €45 it included bus and ticket to the show. €30 deposit required to book you place contact Leeann Mccartan at 086 8980475.

Pilates classes continue on Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. cost €6 per class in the Shamrock Hall.
