COMMUNITY ALERT TALK

Our Local GP. Dr Miriam Birch will deliver a talk on the effects of high cholesterol and its effects in the May Byrne House on Thursday night, April 25, at 8 p.m.

Following this, Denis O’Connor from Enniscorthy will give a very interesting talk on bereavement and the effects it can have on families who have lost loved ones and also their local communities.

Congratulations to Shane Fleming and Máire Bracken on the Birth of their baby Son Shay Tommy, who arrived on Mother’s Day March 31, another grandson for Tom and Anne.

CREDIT UNION CAR DRAW

Congratulations to Andrew and Martina Bolger, Ballycoogue on winning a Car in the monthly draw at Gorey Credit Union last month.

CONFIRMATION

Recently Fr Pádraig O’Cochlain, Moderator Arklow administered the Sacrament of Confirmation to over 40 Students of Bearna Chle, and Coolgreany Schools and he was ably assisted by Fr David Brough Co PP Arklow.

The following students ceived the Sacrament.

COOLGREANY TIDY TOWNS

The committee are appealing for as much support as possible to help clean-up the roads around the village as part of the 2k road clean-up, anyone who can help are asked to get involved with that work which started the first day of April.

The committee would like to sincerely thank the St Patrick’s Day parade organisers for their very kind donation which will help to purchase flowers for planting in the future to improve the village image for the Tidy Towns Competition.

45 CARD DRIVE

A very successful 45 Card Drive is ongoing in the Coolgreany Inn on each Friday night at 8.30 p.m., everyone is very welcome to come along for a good night of craic at the cards, and some lovely finger food thrown in for good measure. So please join us for a game of 45.
