The Irish Heart Foundation Hands For Life Campaign will deliver Free one hour training sessions in basic CPR in Bunclody AFC on this Tuesday, May 7, The sessions take place as follows: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.; 6.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. Booking required directly with the Irish Heart Foundation at Hands.

ForLife.ie Remember, this training is Free, open to all those aged 18 and over and can save lives.

Annual general meeting of Bunclody Tidy Towns is being held in Redmond’s Loft on Thursday, May 9, at 8 p.m. All welcome.

FASHION SHOW

Bunclody Vocational College will hold a fashion show in Bunclody Golf and fishing club on Friday, May 10, at 8 p.m. A great night is promised.

Tickets cost €10 and are available through the school. Door prizes and raffle on the night.

CLOTHES COLLECTION

A used clothes collection takes place in the school on Wednesday, May 22, at Bunclody Vocational College. A great way to de-clutter for summer. Those donating five or more bags will be entered into a draw to win a €100 voucher for the Ferrycarrig Hotel, Wexford.

MODEL COUNTY DEVELOPMENT DRAW.

Be on the look-out for HalfWay-House \ Bunclody GAA Club members who are out selling tickets for the annual Model County Development Draw. Tickets are €50 for three draws or €20, €20 and €10.

The first draw takes place on Wednesday, May 1, Top prize each month is a car. This is an important part of the club’s annual fundraising drive and your support will be appreciated.

The National Ploughing championships take place this year at Ballintrane, Fenagh, County Carlow – near the Fighting Cocks from September 17 to September 19.

More than 250,000 people will visit for the National Ploughing Championships. While local hotels, self-catering premises and B&B’s will cater for many visitors, there is a definite requirement for additional accommodation in the County Carlow area and surroundings. AL-ANON SUPPORT GROUP

Are you affected by someone else’s drinking?

Do you worry about how much they drink? Al-Anon can offer understanding and support for families and friends of problem drinkers whether they are still drinking or not.
