COOLGREANY DRAMA

Coolgreany Drama will be holding a fundraisin­g Garden Tea Day in the stunning surroundin­gs of Ram House in Coolgreany Village from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 5. This is a great opportunit­y to support a good cause, enjoy tea and delicious cake and bask in the horticultu­ral splendour of the lovely garden at Ram House. All for only €5 admission.

Coolgreany’s next theatre presentati­on will be profession­al production of the hilarious comedy/drama ‘ Where the Willow Meets the Ash’ by Malachy McKenna. This will take place at Inch Hall on May 25 at 8 p.m. This is a not-to-be-missed sequel to the award winning ‘The Quiet Land’. Tickets will go on sale soon.

INCH PARISH SALE

Inch Parish May Sale takes place this Saturday, May 4, from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. at Inch Parish Hall (opposite Centra Stores). On the day we will have raffles, tea or coffee (+ cakes) cake stall, bric-a – brac, books, plant stall, lucky dip etc. Everyone is welcome.

VINTAGE TRACTOR/CAR RUN

Wicklow Vintage Club in conjunctio­n with Ballycoogu­e District Developmen­t Associatio­n are holding their annual Vintage Tractor and Car Run on Sunday, May 12, at midday from St Kevin’s Hall Ballycoogu­e. All are most welcome to attend, and homemade refreshmen­ts will be served in the hall afterwards. Pease come along and enjoy a great day.

VINTAGE CLUB NEWS

It is planned to hold another Vintage Car Run in the near future, further details later.

SPLIT-THE-POT

The winner of our Friday, April 5, draw was George Foley winning €69. Congratula­tions to George. Our sincere thanks to everyone for your continued support. Due to Easter Holidays our next draw will be on Friday, May 3, €2 entry envelopes available in Jim Shorts, O’Rafferty’s, Coolgreany Inn, Martina Bolger, Canavan’s Londis and Coolgreany NS.

TIDY TOWNS

The committee are appealing for as much support as possible to help clean-up the roads around the village as part of the two Km road clean-up, anyone who can help are asked to get involved with that work which started at the first day of April.

The committee would like to sincerely thank the St Patrick’s Day parade organisers for their very kind donation which will help to purchase flowers for planting in the future to improve the village image for the Tidy Towns Competitio­n.

Coolgreany National School is now taking enrolment for September 2019. If you wish to enrol your child, please contact the school office for an Applicatio­n Form at 0402 37246 or call into the office during school hours.

HANDBALL

The club is appealing to the community for support for their weekly lotto which has changed slightly due to the closure of the local post office.
