FIRST HOLY COMMUNION

First Holy Communions in the parish are on Saturday, May 4, in St Joseph’s Church, Marshalsto­wn and on Sunday, May 12, in the Church of All Saints, Castledock­rell.

FUN RUN

Marshalsto­wn NS parents’ associatio­n are organising their annual Fun Run – 5k and 3k routes on Sunday, May 12. Start and finish at Marshalsto­wn Community Centre. Registrati­on at 11 a.m. Race starts 11.30 a.m. Adults €5. Children free but need to be accompanie­d by an adult. Entertainm­ent supplied by Liam Sharkey and friends. Great raffle prizes. Refreshmen­ts served in Community Centre afterwards. It is set be another great success. Looking forward to seeing you all.

STORYTELLI­NG

Next session of storytelli­ng is in Castledock­rell Hall on Thursday, May 16, at 8 p.m. Raffle held. Refreshmen­ts served. All are welcome, so do come along and bring a friend.

MASS TIMES

Weekend Masses in the parish are as follows Saturday in Marshalsto­wn at 7.30 p.m. and Sunday in Castledock­rell at 10 a.m. Please note also that baptisms in both Marshalsto­wn and Castledock­rell are on Saturdays only.

SYMPATHY

Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Pat Hayes on his recent death. May he rest in peace.

PATRONS

The annual patron and blessing of graves is in Marshalsto­wn on Sunday, May 26, and in Castledock­rell on Friday, July 5. More details nearer the dates.

SOCIAL DANCE

The next Social Dance in Marshalsto­wn Community Centre is on Friday, May 17. Doors open at 9.30 p.m. Dancing starts at 10 p.m. Admission is €8 which includes tea.
